TotalEnergies Completes $800 Million Sale of Nigerian Oil-Licence Interest

On 27 October 2026, TotalEnergies confirmed the completion of its $800 million sale of a 10% non-operated interest in Nigeria’s Renaissance joint venture to Nigerian-owned Vaaris. The transaction covers the company’s interest in the venture’s oil licences, while TotalEnergies retains its full economic interest in three gas licences—OML 23, OML 28 and OML 77—which supply a substantial share of the feed gas for Nigeria LNG.
